Treatment philosophy

Dr. Smith is very conservative and traditional when it comes to treatment planning and timing of treatment. Dr. Smith is also a proponent of "Permanent Lower Retainers" to maintain straight teeth for many years to come.

The doctor will see the patient at every visit to diagnose and prescribe treatment needed to ensure best possible result in a timely  manner.  You should expect to be seen on time for your appointment.  Check out our patient reviews on google.

The mission of our practice is to deliver high quality, efficient, state of the art orthodontic care in a fun and educational environment. We strive to build long term friendships and relationships with our patients and fellow dentists through trust, respect and a commitment to create beautiful smiles.

First Visit

Your First Orthodontic Consultation Your first visit includes a complimentary consultation with Dr. Smith and our experienced team. We’ll evaluate your teeth, jaws, bite, and facial balance, answer your questions, and discuss treatment options, timing, expected treatment length, and cost. If treatment is recommended, we may take digital records, photographs, and orthodontic X-rays to develop a customized treatment plan. We use advanced AI cephalometric technology to help evaluate jaw growth and provide precise treatment planning. Every patient is unique, so there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach. Dr. Smith will discuss options including braces and clear aligners to find the approach that best fits your needs. Insurance: Please bring your current dental insurance card or subscriber and group information to help us process your benefits. Patients under 18: A parent or legal guardian must accompany the patient to the consultation.

X-Ray

If your dentist or physician has taken X-rays, please have them forwarded to our office as they may be helpful in our diagnosis. A digital radiograph can be emailed to us. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.

What kinds of braces are there

Traditional metal brackets

Traditional brackets

Traditional braces consist of standard metal brackets that are placed on your teeth with an adhesive and connected by wire. They require periodic tightening every 4-6 weeks so steady pressure can gradually straighten your teeth and align your jaw. Metal braces brackets are still the most common orthodontic option.   If you have a complex orthodontic issue, such as gaps between your teeth, overcrowding, an underbite, or an overbite, traditional braces may be the most effective treatment option. Traditional braces can also help to correct more serious jaw alignment problems.

Iconix champagne brackets

Iconix brackets

Iconix stainless steel champagne colored brackets truly offer the best of both worlds - the durability of stainless steel and the aesthetics of "white" gold. A unique proprietary process ensures these brackets will stay champagne for the duration of treatment. When matched with gold wire and clear ligatures, Iconix offers a complete patient pleasing cosmetic system that requires literally no sacrifice on your part.

Clear brackets

Clarity brackets

Clear Braces give you the freedom to enjoy the little things while straightening your teeth. Eat and drink whenever you want with no additional maintenance beyond normal brushing or flossing required. Unlike invisible aligners, which must be removed for every bite and sip (other than water), Clarity Clear Braces are always in and always working.

Invsalign aligners and case

Invisalign

Invisalign is the most recognized brand in orthodontics for prospective patients1. Our system is proven to achieve fast, accurate clinical results by combining technology with customization. That means more happy patients and more success for your practice.   Invisalign clear aligners aren't mounted to your teeth, unlike braces, so you won't have to worry about embarrassing stains or discoloration of your teeth. Invisalign aligners are custom-fit to your smile and made out of a durable, flexible, and comfortable material - you'll hardly even know you're wearing them!
