First Visit
Your initial appointment will consist of meeting Doctor Smith and his experienced team to answer all of your questions about Orthodontic treatment and insurance needs. Beautiful smiles begin with a free consultation and a complete examination of the teeth, jaws, bite, and soft tissue facial balance. Dr. Smith will provide you with all treatment options as well as the appropriate timing concerning the start of treatment. Also, he will give you details about the expected length of treatment, cost, comfort and of course, options for how best to customize and treat your case. If the time to begin orthodontic treatment is right, he would suggest taking a set of orthodontic diagnostic records which include: molds of the teeth, photographs, and special orthodontic X-rays. These orthodontic records with allow Dr. Smith to study in depth the best solution to create a beautiful smile for you or your child. We use high tech AI cephalometric tracing programs to get the most accurate jaw growth prediction. Every patient is different and thus every patient will get a customized treatment plan to best suit their needs. No "one size fits all assembly line here!" Dr. Smith will give you alternatives and options for different types of braces or clear aligners to produce the best comfort, speed, and efficiency for the result you are after. If you have dental insurance, bring your current insurance card. If you don't have one, we will need the subscriber number, group number, and phone number. This will save time and allow us to help you in the processing of your claim.
IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
X-Ray
If your dentist or physician has taken X-rays, please have them forwarded to our office as they may be helpful in our diagnosis. A digital radiograph can be emailed to us. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
Molds
You will have impressions made for your teeth. A plaster model of your teeth will be made that the orthodontist can made a plan from. This visualization allows them to better plan the most efficient and stable treatment plan for moving your teeth.
Our Services
Traditional brackets
Traditional braces consist of standard metal brackets that are placed on your teeth with an adhesive and connected by wire. They require periodic tightening every 4-6 weeks so steady pressure can gradually straighten your teeth and align your jaw. Metal braces brackets are still the most common orthodontic option. If you have a complex orthodontic issue, such as gaps between your teeth, overcrowding, an underbite, or an overbite, traditional braces may be the most effective treatment option. Traditional braces can also help to correct more serious jaw alignment problems.
Iconix brackets

Clarity brackets
Clear Braces give you the freedom to enjoy the little things while straightening your teeth. Eat and drink whenever you want with no additional maintenance beyond normal brushing or flossing required. Unlike invisible aligners, which must be removed for every bite and sip (other than water), Clarity Clear Braces are always in and always working.
Invisalign
Invisalign is the most recognized brand in orthodontics for prospective patients1. Our system is proven to achieve fast, accurate clinical results by combining technology with customization. Invisalign clear aligners aren't mounted to your teeth, unlike braces, so you won't have to worry about embarrassing stains or discoloration of your teeth. Retainers
Once the braces come off, nothing is keeping your teeth from moving back to their previous position. Wearing a retainer helps keep your teeth in the correct place, so they don't move. Think of it this way: Braces straighten your teeth, but your retainer keeps them that way. They help your teeth “retain” their position. The best orthodontist use this method.
The Hawley Retainer
These are adjustable, so your orthodontist can “tweak” your tooth alignment a bit even after your braces are removed. Pros – Hawley retainers are adjustable and last a long time with proper care. These retainers are easy to clean, and because they're removable, brushing and flossing are easy.
A Clear Plastic Retainer
A clear retainer is a thin, transparent plate made of plastic that looks similar to a clear aligner or mouthguard. These retainers are barely noticeable during wear. You can also remove them to eat or clean your teeth. These are made in office and can be placed as soon as the next day.
A Fixed Bonded Retainer
A fixed retainer is used when the orthodontist is concerned that the teeth will try to move back into their original position after the braces are taken off. The retainer is bonded at the back of the teeth, so it is invisible, with a wire that holds the teeth in place. Unlike the other types of retainers, it cannot be removed, but it is bonded into place until it can be taken off.
Clear Aligners
We offer aligners to straighten teeth with invisible appliance similar to Invisalign.
Whitening

Financial Policy
For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards, cash, money orders and personal checks. Also, we offer in house interest free financing that can be customized to fit your personal family budget. Typical cases are $500 down and $180 month (with Insurance)

As a courtesy to those with dental insurance, we will gladly file your PRIMARY insurance that will cover any Orthodontic fees.
We will provide you with the necessary insurance claim form so that you may file directly for reimbursement.
